We urge every rider to go through the SSR's (Supplementary Specifications & Regulations) and the SR's (Specifications & Regulations) to familiarize yourself how MSA works and operates.

Steps to do in order to enter for a race:

  1. You need to have a licence. Day licences CANNOT be bought on race day. In order to get a licence you need to register at MSA through their on-line web page which you will find under www.msaonline.co.za. On the SR's you will see which classes is a regional class (requires a regional licence) other classes falls under support classes (needs a social day licence which will cost you around R115 without medical cover). Once you have your year or social day licence you can proceed to enter for the race.

  2. Entry form should be filled and send to the email address on the form to avoid late entry as indicated on the SR's.

  3. The Self-Scrutineering form can only be completed on race day. After completing the form you will receive your sticker to place on your bike. You can download and print out and hand it in at documentation on race day. Extra copies will be available at documentation should you forgot your form.

If you are riding in a non-regional championship class (MX 50cc Novice, MX Support, MX Grand Masters and MX Ladies) you need to take out a social day licence. The SSR states club licence but the MSA accommodated us by creating a more affordable social day licence. A social day licence is around R115 where a club licence is much more expensive. I.e. if you do not need a regional licence as per your class, you may take out a social licence and avoid the club licence.
